  • When did it become a crime to teach your children respect for authority? Last time I checked good manners are always in fashion. They should have manners classes at schools as far as I am concerned. The problem with disrespect in this country is far reaching.

  • I agree with Skeeter about political correctness. I am very tired of it all. I understand Mr. Obama went to the aid of his dear friend however if Mr. Gates would have exhibited his well educated demeanor, he would have simply shown some form of ID and went forward with this investigation.

  • Dram, I am so glad that you know God's word so well. You would do well to heed His word. What exactly do you believe? Do you believe that Christ died for your sins and only by His grace are we saved. I do know that I interpret the Bible the way I understand it to be.

  • Dram - The scripture was lovely, however, I know what I believe and do not wish to read anything into the God inspired scripture. Read the book of Romans and God speaks of affection that is not natural. Its very plain.

  • God's people use the scripture to not only live by but to teach other how to live and so we can spread the word of salvation to the world. The Bible is the guidebook for Chrisitians. It is the word we live by and try to tell others about.

  • Religion has been reality since the beginning of time. Why do you think places like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and others continue to fight for hundreds of years? It is more than just for land rights.

  • As a Christian, one of our goals is to strive to be more like Christ as we grow in His knowledge. You certainly have a choice here not believe the Bible. I personally agree with the Bishop and his stand. He is only standing up for his beliefs the same way you stand up for yours.
